It is always fun at our summer home.

So, Yeah, It's Always Fun At Our Summer Home.

It's always fun at our summer home.
We play all kinds of sports there.
I am going to name a few.

We play: Tetherball, basketball,  and surfing. (Yes, surfing is a sport.)  We also swim.
(  Swimming is also a sport.)  My cousin and I come up with silly things like, sitting on the top of some monkey bars. We also came up with a handshake that we did before we jumped into the heated pool and tried to throw sponge bombs at each other.

You can do all of that and more. I will be posting more on my site so keep a lookout for some awesome things to do!

Leave a comment and give me some tips in it. I want to know if I am doing well on this little blog of mine!

CRAZY FUN!

So, my cousin and I do crazy stuff.

Basically my cousin is crazy and I am nuts.
So, we go together quite well.
Together we come up with super nutty stuff in the summer.
We do fun stuff like climbing firetrucks.

Or taking crazy pictures, making movies, sometimes we do a play.
Our latest concert was us singing our favorite songs.
1. We made up cool moves for the song, Let It Go, and we split the parts up.
2. We sang the song Happy.
3. I played the song, Cups, by banging a cup in rhythm, while my cousin and I both sang the song.

Think of anything you enjoy doing.
Turn it into something cool or crazy.
If you like art, try to painting a famous painting in your own style.
If you like to sing, work out a concert of your favorite songs.

My cousin and I also make movies.

So, about the movie thing, we basically, take a bunch of separate videos  then put them all together.
We write out what it's going to be about then think of separate scenes.
Sometimes we sing a few songs.
You could do that with your friends.

More Things To Do!

Slack lining is difficult!

So, slack lining is SUPER difficult.
It takes a lot of balance and effort to get to the end.
But, it is super fun as well!
You might want to try it.

This could be a part of one of your relay races!
The team to get across first can move onto the next adjective.

Back to the point.

I am basically going to give you tons of things to do at home!

1:  Take some silly photos of yourself or anyone you know.
Take a look of some of ours.

These are my awesome photos!
You should take some with your family.
Capture any funny moment you can!
Here are some ideas to where you should take them.
1:  take some photos at the beach.

2:  Take some pictures inside your backyard.
3: take some photos at a park.
4: Take some photos at your public pool.

Maybe you  have some cool places at your school or inside your home.

Think of any place you like.

Things to Do at the Beach

My Family And I Love The Beach...

I love surfing. It's one of my favorite activities. I love to play volleyball, to swim, and to make sandcastles. So, pretty much, I love the beach. Doesn't everyone love the beach?

This is me surfing!

Fun Things To Do At The Beach:

Well, there are tons and tons of things to do at the beach!
I am only going to give you a few ideas, but you will get my point.

Drip castles:

So the first thing is drip castles.
Now, I know that that kind of sounds weird but don't worry, it's really fun!
First, find really wet sand, preferably at the edge of the ocean.
Second, get one handful of it. Let the sandy water drip from your fingers until there is none left. The little pile of sand you just made is the beginning of your castle. Do it again and again until you have a castle.

Play A Sport!

Play some soccer with your sister.

Play football with your Bro.
Play volleyball with your mom.
Maybe you should play frisbee with your dad!

Another Thing We Did...

Relay Race With Cousins

We did a relay race with my cousins, brother, sisters, and me. The part I did worst at was eating a bowl of ice cream the fastest. Mom knows I get big freeze-brains! My cousin got to start first because she was first in the last object of the race we did. For the last part of the whole race, we split up into teams to see who could put together their puzzle the quickest.

You could make a relay race for you and your family, or for your friends. Think of wacky and fun things to do. It could be, who can spin in circles twenty times, the fastest?
Or maybe, how many marshmallow peeps can you stuff in your mouth? Who knows? The possibilities are endless!

Our race began by:
1. Running three flights of stairs - 1st person went up and back down, tagged the 2nd person who ran up and grabbed the 1st objective
2. We counted each pole around the pool. First team to get it right took the lead and moved to the 3rd objective.
3. We wolfed down a bowl of ice cream - this is where my team lost and ended up getting far behind. Once the bowl of ice cream was gone we got our 4th objective.
4. The two slowest teams teamed up to do a puzzle. The 2 fastest teams teamed up to do the puzzle.
First teams to finish the puzzle won the whole relay.

It was a blast, but as all competition ends, we did end up losing and there were some tears, but a year later we are excited to go back and become the champions this year!

Just a quick tip, make sure you can clean it up. No confetti or liquids ok?
You don't want to make your parents mad, do you?

Summer Sponge Bombs

Mom is helping me set up my first blog. We are testing on how this will work. My hope is to blog about all the ideas I come up with on what to do over the summer! I find myself sitting with nothing to do, but my imagination runs wild and steers me into having lots of fun! Let's play together!

Summer Sponge Bombs

Last summer, my favorite activity was making sponge bombs! We took them to OBX with us, when we went on vacation with our extended family. Mom got them out and we played with them in the ocean. The kids and Daddy started to throw them at each other. Some other kids came to join us. Even Uncle Jimmy jumped in on the fun. We played for a long time and everyone got very tired.

Here is how you make them:
Stack three sponges on top of each other. Cut them into thirds, making 9 strips.
Take a hair tie and wrap it like you would a ponytail.
Fan out the sponge strips. Dip them in water and start throwing.
